Do You Choose to Connect?

A friend recently sent me one of those videos marked “you have to watch immediately”. Against my better judgment, since opening these messages are so distracting, I followed the link.  The video depicted a fanatic spewing out hatred of Americans and Jews.  What should I with this upsetting message?

I was studying for the Holidays and taking a quick break from sermon writing.  Now I was worried and angry.  Then I noticed on the left side of this offensive video, there was another list of popular “must see” programs.

One was called “Notes Left Behind” – How one six year old girl inspired hundreds of people! In an attempt to change my state of mind, I watched this video and started to cry!

A six year old with incurable cancer spent the last few months of her sweet life fulfilling her wish list.

  • She sat on her dad’s lap and drove a car.
  • She swam with dolphins.
  • Wrote a “how to survive Kindergarten guide” for her younger sister.
  • and put on a new white dress to dance – a last dance with her family, since they would not be able to dance with her at her wedding.

She drew many pictures and fulfilled a dream of having her art displayed in an art museum alongside her favorite artist, Pablo Picasso. Her family blogged online and had hundreds of people following this heartbreaking saga.
